Founded in 2020 by Matt and Kristen Cole, Trees Cut Right is a third-generation, family-owned tree service based in Prior Lake, MN.

Matt grew up in the tree industry, learning to climb and care for trees alongside his father, Kurt — the founder of Cole Cuts Portable Sawmill, a local custom wood-milling business started in 1991. Over the years, Matt developed the hands-on expertise and work ethic that now define Trees Cut Right.

Today, Matt brings that same level of craftsmanship and care to every tree he trims or removes. As a professional climber, he can safely access difficult areas where heavy machinery isn’t an option — a big advantage for properties with tight spaces or delicate landscapes.
